InLei® Fixing Gel vs LamiCa Gel: which shield glue to choose
InLei® makes two water-soluble glues for holding lashes on the silicone shield during a lash lift: the classic Fixing Gel and the newer LamiCa Gel, added in 2022. Both were tested on many hair types and work equally well. The difference is in how they feel while you work.
Side by side
| Fixing Gel | LamiCa Gel | |
|---|---|---|
| Texture | Medium firmness | Very soft and flexible |
| Drying | Fast | Medium |
| Recommended for | Experienced technicians | Beginners and experienced technicians |
| Bottle | 5 ml | 5 ml |
| Treatments per bottle | About 28 to 36 | About 32 to 38 |
How they feel in practice
You notice the difference when you put tension on the lashes against the shield. Fixing Gel grips fast, so it rewards precise, confident placement. LamiCa Gel stays workable for longer, which leaves time to correct each lash before it sets.
Every technician’s hands are different, so the best advice is to try both and keep the one that suits your speed.
